OKW - Please tell me

I have a 1bed villa booked and wanted to know what to expect.

I am not a DVC so I know I will get mousekeeping but can you tell me what items I can expect to be in the room when I arrive, how the buses work, what sort of activitys they offer at the community hall etc etc.

Also any other tips or hints about the resort would be great.

First of all, you can relax and know that you will be staying in a wonderful resort with lots of elbow space and amenities.

And depending on how long you are staying, you actully will get some mousekeeping. If you are staying 9 days or longer, you will get full cleaning on Day 4 and Trash & Towel on Day 8. For trips less than 8 days you will get Trash & Towel only on Day 4.

As for the items in the room, you will get a fully equipped kitchen including large refrigerator/freezer, stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. Lots of utensils, plates, pots and pans.

The buses run through this large resort and stop at five different locations so your villa won't be far from a bus stop. They run about every 20-30 minutes to the various parks and other destinations the same as other resorts.

Hey Granny, I think you are mistaken about the Mousekeeping for the OP. I assume when the OP said; "not DVC" they ment they were staying on cash ressie. That means Mousekeeping DAILY.

Another point about the busses. They stop (or very near) the Hospitality House on the way IN and OUT of the resort, so if you desire you can get there from the area you are staying in by taking ANY bus.

How did you book this reservation? If it was booked directly through Disney for cash or is an upgrade from another resort then you will get daily mousekeeping. If you booked this through a DVC member by "renting points", then you will get the same mousekeeping DVC members get, which is the schedule Granny posted.

Excellent point. For some reason, I assumed the OP was renting points, though there is no indication that is so. Good catch!

We have stayed at OKW a couple of times and the bus never stopped at HH on the way INTO the resort, only as the last stop on the way out. Maybe the DTD bus stopped at HH first, but I'm sure that coming back from the parks the bus' first stop was Peninsular Road and HH the last.

FALSE information. Only the internal bus stops at HH BOTH on the way in and out of the resort. All park buses only stop at HH on the way OUT. It is the last stop prior to leaving the resort.

Sorry, I knew some did, but take note: I did say "or very near". I made an assumption that a 2 minute walk from the pennisular road stop was close enough.

When we were there, we had both experiences with the buses. Sometimes they stopped at HH first sometimes last, there seemed to be no rhyme or reason as to what they would do. Except that if we were the only ones on the bus they would stop at HH first because that was our stop.
