OKW or VWL for one night alone???

it might happen that I have to spend one night alone at WDW.

my first preference is BWV or BCV, but I dont think I will be able to get it, I will go on a waitlist, but I cant count on that.

so, I have never stayed at OKW or VWL, I have visited WL many times, and know my way around there, havent been to OKW since '97, and that was only for an hour!
but which do you think is better for a 29 yr old woman on her own..
I'm thinking the VWL might be a little dark and too wildernessy for me, but.. I dont know my way around OKW, and its huge, right???

which one should I pick, as of now they both have a studio available for the night I need, I will know for sure by monday, and book it then..

so, please help me decide which resort to book... VWL or OKW!

Don't count out BCV. I got in for Nov. Another recent poster stated they got in for July 15th. If not,I would go to VWL, there's more to do & eat right at the resort. you are correct-OKW is huge.

I would also not count out BCV, but if you can't get BCV then I would definitely pick VWL. You will be much closer to a park, more restaurant choices and things to do. OKW is huge and if you get in a building far from the front you will be very secluded with a far way to go to get to the restaurant, store, etc.

Having just returned from a week at OKW (and loving it) I'll still vote for VWL. I love roaming around the resort by myself at night, chatting with CMs and other guests. I feel very comfortable there. Don't think you'd have the same atmosphere at OKW, as it's not a hotel.

Laura, I'd go for VWL since all the rooms are in one building. We drove thru OKW, and it is a very large resort. VWL units are very nice, I really like them! When are you thinking of staying there?

you just confirmed my exact thoughts! I know i will feel more comfortable at vwl!
I'll book it first thing monday morning!!!! and i will also go on a waitlist for BWV, cause that is my first choice!

Just wanted to reaffirm that I think you made a good choice. ALthough I haven't stayed at VWL solo (yet), I have visited there on solo trips ("scouting", thinking of joining DVC), and I'm sure I'd have no hesitation staying there solo.
