What is the different between a room near hospitality house and a regular room?

It just means you are within close walking distance to the lobby, restaurants, main pool and playgrounds, drink refill station, gift shop and boat dock. The rooms are the same, it's just the location that's different!

"Near Hospitality House" reservations will be in buildings 11-14 and 23-26. All of the OKW villas are similar regardless of the building in which they are located. Buildings 11-29 have only one entrance to the master bathroom (through the master BR) in 1 and 2BR villas. Buildings 30 - 64 all have a second entrance through the laundry room. Only Buildings 62-64 have elevators.

As already noted , the only difference is that the HH buildings are near the Hospitality House (even though there are other buildings just as close). Buildings 62-64, 15, 16, 17 and 18 are as close as most the HH category buildings - but those are only requests, the HH category is a guaranteed reservation category.

Is there an extra charge for HH request rooms? Are these rooms hard to get? I'll be booking 4 mths out. I know it's close but Im still waiting for my DVC membership #.

there is no extra charge. they are fairly hard to get.

really don't like HH rooms/villa as well as others

love 18, 55, 56, 45, and 42 much better. Nothing is far - at the most it is a 10 minute walk from the furthest building to HH.

I stay in studios.

to get to the HH if you don't want to walk - just get on a theme park bus - the last stop is HH

to get back (unless you are going to the parks) just walk up to Peninsular bus stop and take it back to your area.
