definitely do not want a first floor, so should I request a high floor or a second floor? In your opinion, which is better and why, please?

We like top floor, no noise above us....long walk up after a long day though...we had strollers etc but still prefer top floor. Some buildings are only two floors.

We like the top floor for the same reason-no noise above you- and good view.

How much noise are we talking about? Can you hear people in the room above you running around? talking?

We have a double stroller, and had planned to request ground floor. But if it's a lot of noise, maybe it's worth the pain of carrying the stroller up. Tho, I'd feel bad for the people below us since my kids are likely to be running around and shouting at 7am!

Ask for the top floor for sure. We stayed on Miller's Road on the ground floor and couldn't deal with the noise from above us. There was a little one upstairs who ran back and forth morning, noon, and night. I wondered if they ever went out of the room. The little one of course was being a kid and I can't fault them for running, but it was grating on the nerves beyond belief.

What size room? There are not too many studio & 1 bedrooms on third floors. Mostly 2 bedrooms.

I had a 2 bedroom on the third floor once, it's a long way up with luggage.

We had two double strollers in our GV, and one double on the third floor....Yep, heavy carrying along with the kiddo's but we managed...never heard any noise

Thanks for the replies . We have a studio booked . Should I be asking for a different area to avoid the noise?

Because we have have always had either my mother or my in-laws with us when at OKW we have always had a ground floor. Couldn't get the elevator buildings. We have never had an issue with noise. OKW is our favorite though.

The two potential sources of noise are from someone loud above you, or through the connecting doors between your studio and the connecting 1BR---those are not very well soundproofed. But, those are area-independent.
