OKW Location Question

Hey all, Happy New Year to everyone. I was just looking at the OKW map and trying to figure out if given a choice, what would be my first building choice for our first OKW stay. I've read posts by people who said that upon checkin, they were allowed to choose among available units. So, I'm checking in on Wednesday, February 14th...probably around 2pm. What are my chances at being able to choose a particular building? Thanks for your help.

It all depends upon how busy the resort is, and how many units they will have available as to whether you are offered choices of location.

For one bedroom and large units, if you have people in your party that wll be sleeping on the foldout couch, you may want to request that you be in bldgs 30 and higher. There was a design change during construction, and one bedroom and larger unit in bldg 30+ have two entrances to the bathroom, onr through the master bedroom and one through the laundry room. Blgds 29 ad lower have only one entrance to the bathroom...through the master bedroom. It all depends upon the make up of your traveling party, and how much privacy those in the master bedroom need.

Chucks suggestion for needing the second door to the bathroom is the the only consideration we make for location other than non-smoking for medical reasons. We also like upper floors to avoid noise from above. If you are staying in a studio, you will be best off with an upper floor to avoid being hemmed in by heavy foliage.

on my couple of visits - the CM was trying to pick. I didn't say anything the first time and got a studio in 49 which probably was the loudest studio I have ever been in.... buses, trucks, golf carts - horrible.

so the next time I mentioned I would love anything in 55. which they had....

however that say - find out which pools have everything working - hot tub and pool. OKW is having a problem with the hot tubs - both turtle pond and south pointe were out on my stay.
