OKW in Aug.

Anyone ever stay at OKW in mid to late Aug? How crowded was it?

okw is never crowded. It is very spreadout - but the buses make getting around it easy.

it has several pools - so besides the main one with the slide - the others are never that crowded.

I stayed at OKW in late Aug last year... Wasnt crowded at all. Always had a seat on the buses, never a wait anywhere in the resort, pools were great... Great big spreadout resort

Same here...we were there over Labor Day Weekend and it wasn't crowded at all. Good time to go!

I hope the PPs are right...we are staying in mid-August and had to be waitlisted for one night for our 1BR--I was a little surprised. We got it though so maybe it was just a bit of a fluke. We have stayed there several times and even if it is crowded, I don't think it will feel too crowded there...

Not to hijack, but we're staying at OKW next month and I'm worried about the resort being so spread out. Are the internal busses pretty frequent in case we're stuck in an outer part of the resort?

OKW doesn't feel "packed" even when they may be.....

Large, spread out resort. Bus service is great, and with 4 pools,
people tend to spread out.

The Miller Rd and South Point areas are
the quietest.
