OKW, happy to say, I get it now!!!

I'm staying there for the first time over Easter, in a 1 BR (it was a compromise with DH, who wanted to squeeze into a studio, so instead I booked the least points-pricey 1 BR). I'm excited. We will have stayed at all the DVCs on-site except for BLT after that trip.

I have a number of friends who just love OKW, so I hope to become one of them!

Although I like the feel of the resort. Our room was a nightmare. Not just dusty but neglected. This is long term neglect for someone not to see this.

The light fixture above the shower was full of bugs. Crickets my guess and dust and a dead spider hanging out of the vent above the toilet. We get an allergy clean due to allergies and I am allergic to every stinging insect. I noticed the dust and looked up.

We did a split stay at SSR and OKW. Bugs in room at SSR was expecting more. But it took two days to get it taken care of. Very Gross. Not to mention that the previous guests left all their paperwork in one of the drawers.

I concur. When I first bought my vacation club my choices were OKW and BWV and I was such a hotel girl I bought BWV.

For years I avoided staying there. Then one day when I couldn't get what I wanted I had no choice but to take a 1BR in OKW....well WOW was all I could say!! Now I always try to get into OKW if I need a room at Disney.

Love It!!! A converted hotel girl!!

Have to say, I also agree. The first time we stayed there, it was because we were in sudden need of a 1-night same-night room and OKW was the only available studio...but ever since then, it's our go-to place unless we specifically need to stay somewhere else for some reason. Love the rooms, love the Hospitality House complex, love the atmosphere, and love, love, love the boat ride to DTD. "Home" may be at BWV for Food and Wine purposes...but for everything else, OKW is priceless.

We own at SSR and have stayed at BCV. Last year was our first week at OKW and we love it more than SSR. Can't wait to head back in November.

This is one of my two home resorts. First one we bought and first one we stayed out. We love the relax feeling and the Key West theme. We have not stayed here in a long time - we are also on a mission to try all the DVC resorts and we definitely prefer BCV for F & W.

We are going back "home" this December and can't wait. No wait listing. I am looking forward to staying here.

We love OKW and in fact have a room booked for our big family trip in June The kids love the pool and it is just a very relaxing environment

You know, even though we don't own at OKW, the reason why we bought into DVC was because we stayed at OKW 4 years ago and fell in love with the size and amenities of our 1 BR Villa. After reading through this entire thread, you've got me thinking... for our next trip we should book OKW!

We own at SSR but have stayed at number of different resorts including OKW, in a grand villa with a total of 6 adults and 3 toddlers. It was a great resort and very spacious for all of us. It is definetely my go to place with a big group. Counting down to our stay in May for a family trip once again in a grand villa.
