OKW Grand Villa Location Help

Hi everyone! I just booked our very first stay at OKW for July 2012. We are booked in a Grand Villa. I'm not sure how many there are and the location of each. I would love to be close to the main pool and maybe along side the golf course. My whole family golfs, so that would be fun to sit and watch from our balcony or patio. We also do not plan on going to the parks during our 3 nights there. We will do that once we move over to the Boardwalk. Can any of you suggest a particular area to for me to "request"? Thanks so much for any and all answers you can give me.

Anyone have any personal favorite Grand Villa Locations?

We were in Bldg 15 last summer, right next to the tee box for the "floating green" near Bldg 64. Very quiet, wonderful view of the course and handy to both the Miller Road pool and HH pool. We could watch for the bus heading to the Miller Road stop and if it passed us as we were leaving the building, we headed for the HH to catch the bus there.

We vary from visit to visit. Building 16 was really nice with a view of the green in the distance but we also stayed in building 43 on Turtle Pond Road which we liked since on that visit we had young children and it is tucked away in a very quiet low traffic area so families would just walk to the nearby pool. You really can't make a bad choice.

What exactly does that mean? This is the 2nd post I have seen about Booking The HH Specifically?? When I called earlier this afternoon, I asked to put in the request for Bldg 25. The gentleman on the phone noted my request and didnt say anything else?? Thanks for your help.

There are two booking categories at OKW - near Hospitality House and all other. Near Hospitality House is usually Bldg 11, 12, 13, 14, 23, 24, 25 and 26. So if you book near HH area, you will be limited to those buildings. If you booked other, you get everything else.

We stayed in the GV in Bldg 25 a few years ago and it was great. A very short walk to the bus stop, and a quick, slightly longer walk to the Pool and HH and the busstop there.

TIP: The park buses make the interior stops first, before stopping at the HH bus stop...so if you just miss a bus walk on over to the HH to pick it up. Or just walk on over to the HH and you shaved some time off your possible wait time at a stop. You really have the flexibility of 2 convenient bus stops from Bldg 25.

I have never stayed in a GV but have always stayed in either building 42 or 43 (since 1993) at least once a year. Love the location, great GC view and the Turtle Pond pool is fantastic.

We were in 22 which was a great golf course view...there is only one grand villa in the HH category...bldg 25.
