Hi,

Calling all you OKW experts out there!!! I'm not sure how these villas are spread out and am wondering if any one location is better than another. I requested the unit to be close to the HH and non smoking. I'll be traveling with my elderly Mom who gets around pretty well but want to make it as convenient for her as possible.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks! Mary

Here's Doc's layout from a few years ago. It shows you the building numbers for all the GV's, then, there's a link to an actual resort map.

We stayed in a GV in Building 15 last May, and it had a very nice view of the golf course.

We stayed in Building 16 in 2003 and loved it there!!! We had some fireworks views from the third floor as well. We're staying in a GV in August and hop we get the same location.

We have stayed in them at buildings 22, 29, 15, and 16, and the views from 22 and 16 are great!

Thank you all for your responses! I thought I read a thread a very long time ago about noise in a gv because of the layout of that particular unit or am I getting my threads mixed up :confused3 . Very possible..lol

Thank you.

There have been threads about noise in the villas below the gv. The living room, dining room and kitchen in the gv have hardwood floor. Some people who have stayed in the unit underneath a GV have complained that they heard a lot of noise from people walking around in those rooms.

Sue is right, a large active group in a GV can cause some difficulty for the folks in the units below those hardwood floors. It's one of the reasons I get a little leary of 1st floor units.

Does anyone know if there are coffee pots up in the second floor bedrooms? Or is there just one pot in the kitchen? In otherwords, the people staying upstairs would have to come down for coffee?

Only coffee is in the huge kitchen and dining room.

Yes!! That is what I read but I couldn't recall exactly where and what caused the noise.

This presents a problem for me as we have a bunch of kids with us and I would hate to bother anyone else. Hopefully, the kids will be so tired from their daily activities that they will just pass out in the evenings. Now I just have to worry about the roudy adults..lol

Thanks again!

Beth, thank you for the layout of OKW--very helpful!

Mary

The biggest problem is little ones who run, and adults who pull the dining chairs around without picking them up. The dining room is above the 2nd bedroom of a 2 bedroom in some buildings. We had a problem once with kids bouncing superballs at 6AM!
