Thinking of booking a G Villa for the marathon in January. I have stay in the G Villa once and I seem to recall that all G Villa entrances are on floor 2 (or higher). Am I recalling correctly. Its a silly question but one of my guests will be running the marathon for the first time and I really hate to put him in a G Villa guest room and force hime to climb 2 flights of stairs just to get to his bed. (note I am not yielding the master either)

I guess a follow on question is that I seem to recall that a couple G Villa buildings have elevators. Correct?

I once cut and saved Doc's OKW map and have lost it through the years.

The GVs that have elevator access are considered Handicapped Accessible. While I think it is nice that you want to save your friend the hassle of the stairs, it seems wrong somehow to take a HA GV for someone able bodied enough to run a marathon. There are lots of guests who can't manage stairs at all (wheelchair-bound, elderly, etc.) and, IMO, those villas should be left for them.

That said, the GVs at OKW are amazing and well worth a stay. I think they would be a great place to recuperate post-marathon, even with the stairs.

I don't think you are going to get a GV at OKW for the marathon in 2013. You are probably already too late.

I agree with Deb. If you do, however, there are only 2 GVs that are in elevator buildings, and one of those is HA. The other first floor GV is in building 48, and that also would be HA only on the first floor. The second and third bedrooms would still only have stair access.

As Diane already mentioned, Building 63 (with elevator) has 2 GVs and one of those is HCA. The ground level GV in Building 48 is also HCA. You might want to consider a GV at SSR where there is elevator access to the upper level of all 36 GVs at the resort.

Here is the map edited by GDUL to show GVs, HCA villas, elevators, bus turnarounds and HH area:
