We'll be staying at OKW for the first time on April. I know they have a restaurant, but is that the only place to eat for the whole resort? Also, is there a refillable drink station? Thanks.

In addition to Olivia's, the TS restaurant, there is a CS "window;" it is not a food court, and, honestly, you don't get a lot for your money. Plus there is not much seating to eat after you get your food, and it's all outside. There is a mug refill station there. There is another CS window at the Turtle Pond pool that is open seasonally. It will probably be open in April. You can also get your mug filled there, but the attendant has to do it for you (or at least it was that way the last time we were there). They serve light fare - nachos, light sandwiches, beer, wine, a couple of frozen drinks, chips, etc.

We LOVE OKW, but the CS options there are severely limited.

OKW was the first DVC resort, so guests were pretty much expected to eat in their villas, except when they were at the pool or maybe for an occasional table service meal. The refillable mugs are very inconvenient unless you are going to the main pool.

Don't bypass Olivia's while you are at OKW. It is one of the best restaurant secrets in WDW! Great food and service. Hope you enjoy your stay!!

Olivia's is pretty good. We were on the dining plan though, so we were extrememely disappointed with the CS option. Not being on the plan, it wouldn't have mattered so much..

Is it true that you can order take out from Olivia's? If so, do you do this at Good's to Go or from the podium at Olivia's? We were thinking of ordering a meal, then taking it back to the villa to eat.
BTW, we'll also be at OKW in April-the couple wearing Anniversary buttons (of around 100 couples!) celebrating our 30th.

No, sorry, no "to go" orders from Olivia's. They stopped that many years ago, about the time the dining plan was started. You would need to be seated, order, be served and then ask to box up your food. By then, you might as well eat it.

We love OKW but the counter service - Goodings to GO - is absolutely the worst anywhere. And, i don't think the store has nearly the grocery choices that SSR has, eg.

We love Olivias.

Everytime I fill out a Disney survey - I am very very negative about Goodings. Tired food choices - not healthy - nothing special. They even make bad burgers.
We were at SSR this year, and ate a lot of counter service at the other pool, and the burgers were pretty good.

Over the years we have had many delicious meals at Olivia's, the sit down restaurant at OKW, Most recently we had breakfast there last month for my birthday :).

I'm curious ... what is "tired food choices?" We have ordered food at Goods to Go and taken it back to our room to eat. The food was fine.

Also, we have found a good selection of food items at the General Store at OKW. Most of the time we have a car, so if we want more eating choices, we can drive some place else. On the rare occasion we have not had our car, we were able to make do with WDW food.

I'm glad you asked because I've been trying to figure out what 'tired food' was. My first thought was wilted lettuce or moldy food. ;)

Ironically, tired food choices were just what you said - we have actually had very wilted lettuce, stale buns and overly steamed buns. Nothing molded yet.

Also, the food choices themselves seemed very "tired." Nothing besides the park standbys. Each food court/counter service we have visited always had at least one interesting items - good potato chips, eg, at SSR and Grand Floridian.

I did notice last time that they added Conch Fritters (I think) to the menu. Up to that point, it was chicken nuggets, overly steamed burgers and maybe tuna sandwiches.

Hopefully, they are getting the idea. Olivias is so good - Gurgling Suitcase is cute - Goodings - blah.

You've mixed your names. Goodings is the grocery store over near the DTD hotels. Goods to Go is the name of the counter service at the pool at OKW. We love the fries, smoothies and other things at Goods to Go. We've had some good burgers there, too. Sorry your's were not to your liking.

I love the CONCH FRITTERS!!!!!!!!!

There, just had to get that out. Although I agree that it would be nice to have a larger "to go" place (do like the Beach clubs), we find that we really don't order much from CS because we use the condo and bring our lunch down to the pool.

Love Olivia's and will eat there at least once on each visit. It really is a hidden gem of the Disney Restaurants.

Goodings/Goods - I couldn't recall. I suffered a severe concussion a month ago, and I have the most random cognitive "slips." Its been an interesting experience.

I really think OKW is such a wonderful resort - lush landscaping, the Sascagoula (?) River, large rooms, Gurgling suitcase, Olivias...Everything exceptional - and then sub par CS!
