OKW extension offer...I have a question...

Is the extension offer that's on the DVC site just for OKW members or can anyone use this? I'm thinking it's just for OKW to continue their years, but if not, I'd like to add-on OKW. What do you think?

The extension offer is only directed at OKW owners, but DVC would be happy to sell any other DVC member an add-on at OKW. The cost of the add-on (minimum purchase of 25 points) is currently $96 per point and the add-on will give you the use of OKW thorugh the extended date of January 31, 2057. If you were to purchase OKW thru resale, you'd also have until February 29, 2008 to accept the extension at the $15 per point price. After that date, the cost to extend rises to $25 per point.

Presently there is no offer of a similar extension to owners at any other DVC resort.

No, no. The extension is just a fifteen-year extension on the points you already own. It's not an add-on of more points!

So, basically, there's no great deal available for me to add-on right now, huh! OK. I figured it was too good to be true. But, when DH mentioned maybe buying more points, I thought I'd better check it out! Thanks anyways!

If you are already a DVC member, you can add on as few as 25 OKW points at $96 per point thru DVC directly. These points will already have the 2057 expiration date.

If you are currently not a DVC member, you may purchase a minimum of 160 points at $96 per point at OKW.

If you are already an OKW owner, you may add as additional 15 years to your current contract by paying the $15 per point price. On March 1, 2008 that price goes up to $25 per point.

If you can complete a resale purchase prior to February 29, 2008 - you could purchase the extension for an additional $15 per point. At this time, most OKW resales expire in January 31, 2042 - the current offer extends that expiration until 2057.
