OKW extension - non US owners

I was at the SSR preview center last week with 2 friends that are OKW owners from Germany. They were there to take care of their paperwork and also ask about what their friends in Germany should do since they do not plan to travel to WDW this year. To have something notorized in Germany is very expensive, as it first must be translated into German. We were told that they should go ahead and do this and when they submit the paperwork include a receipt for the cost and they would be reimbursed by DVC.

Now if this happens I will be surprised as this could get very costly for Disney. Has anyone else been told they would be reimbursed for the costs incurred to return the paperwork?

I am in Canada and haven't even received my paperwork.

I have a trip planned to Disney in September 2008 so I will sign my paperwork at the SSR preview centre and have it notarized there.

I have never received any paperwork from Disney regarding the extension.
I only know about the extension from the DIS boards.

I have phoned my guide several times on this issue and stated for months I am not extending.

Hopefully I will receive my paperwork before my trip in September.

If you don't get your paper work before your trip, call a day or two before you go to the preview centre to give them time to print it out. I've been told that they can do that there. You should be able to get the number from your guide or the people at Member Accounting who are handling the extensions.

Thanks, that is very helpful. We are arriving 28 Aug 08 and leaving 6 September 2008 so that should give me enough time to handle this matter.
