Has anyone ever stayed in an elevator building at OKW with an ECV? I was wondering if the elevators are pretty normal-size, or if I'd be limited to the first floor in an ECV. We really do prefer the views from the upper floors at OKW, and a recent post about noise from above has me wondering about upper floors in an elevator building with my ECV.

I've just used first floors, and we have not had a noise issue. Last time I had an ECV for most of the stay was in January.

What if there were a fire or power failure such that the elevator could not run, would you be able to exit the building? I know this is not just for OKW, but any multi-floor unit.

I used to wonder the same thing, and assumed that all HA rooms were on the first floor. But then, I got assigned to a HA unit on the top floor at POR, and found out that HA rooms are on all floors, as long as there's an elevator. Surprising, but true.

And, Bobbi, we also didn't have a noise issue at OKW. As I remember, we just missed each other.

The one time we had an ECV at OKW we requested a building with an elevator and got it.....on the first floor. So sorry, no help! :goodvibes

All buildings are fully sprinkled. The guest would just need to leave the villa and go further down the walkway and wait to be rescued by Reedy Creek Fire Department. That's basically your respond to any fire in a taller building (say, BLT) as well. Get away from the fire, move to a secure area (like a stairwell) and wait for rescue.
