OKW DISmeet Sunday August 5th

Would love the chance to meet some DISers. I'll be doing the international college programme, so available all summer, I hope. Will be keeping an eye on the thread

After taking everyones dates into consideration and trying to match up with a free evening we have we have decided to go with Sunday August 5th at 7:30pm.

Sorry Claire, your dates are a little early for us, we don't check into OKW til the 21st have we have a few things planned for the first few days like DS 18th Birthday.

I have changed the 1st post in this thread, now has all details of who will be there. It helps if anyone who will be there can post a pic so we know who we are talking to but no worries if anyone doesn't want to.

Hi Wayne noooooooooooooooo we fly in on the 5th to Miami and have a night booked there before we travel down to Orlando on the 6th. Sorry we won't be able to join you all but hopefully we might see you around the parks. We aren't over at OKW until the 10th as doing universal first, Anyway have fun and if a mad cornish lady approaches you don't be scared it's only to say hello !!! Take care Tracey

DD (the tall blonde if you remember from august) and her husband will arrive in orlando on August 5th (from their alaska cruise)..

i don't know yet where they'll be staying - i haven't booked them a hotel at WDW yet (they have all their flights and hotels everywhere else, just not at WDW)....i'm waiting for the US free dining (which probably won't be then) or for an email code (like the one i got last year)..
anyway, they'll be staying somewhere onsite, but certainly not OKW (way too expensive without the UK free dining discount)....

they won't have a car, so i don't know if they'll make it over to you, but i'll let them know when and where it is and who knows, they might just pop in....

I expected them to bring the offer back with the latest free DDP offer. I wonder if it will be back for next year or thats the end of it now.

i'm sure they'll bring it back for the 2013 season..
but they won't for 2012 - they've already sold enough OKW and SSR rooms for the season...

if i can't get them free dining, i'll try to book them a room with an AP discount and then add on dining....i know it's not the deal free dining is, but they really really enjoy the dining plan....somehow prepaying makes things less painful for them and that's fine...

they'll probably stay at the Pop either way (if i get free dining there, i'll upgrade them to the regular dining plan)..

they'll be at WDW until the 20th...
