OKW discount questions

We are planning a trip for Dec 18th - 26th. We are considering OKW and I was wondering if anyone remembers what the discount has been in the past for this time of year. I know that I won't know for sure till somewhere around the end of August. Since points are high for Christmas I'm looking at all options.

Do you mean booking through CRO as a regular guest?

It's a little hard to predict. Holiday Season starts 12/20. You will still be in Value Season. I've heard that sometimes they allow you to keep the rate at check-in through the whole stay.

Prior to 9/11, there were very few, if any, discounts available during Christmas Week. With the dropoff in tourism they sometimes offered dramatic discounts for this time period. Now, that things are picking up again and they are promoting extended family trips to WDW, the holiday season may once again be in demand. I don't think I would count on getting a discount of more than 25% and probably a lot less. 25% off rack rate is also the discount we get as DVC members, if inventory is available from the DVC allotment.

Yes, I'm talking about booking through CRO. I did check and the rate is the same for the whole period so checking in on the 18th will still be value season.

I got about 30% off on an AP rate last month for a 1 bedroom. They had about 40% off on a studio.

I just checked online reservations at disneyworld.com, they do have studios & 1 bedrooms availabable for your dates (at regular price).

I doubt you'll see much discounts for that time but it never hurts to check.

I got a one bedroom in the beginning of December for $250 per night through Member Services.
