Does anyone know the order that the buses follow? What buildings are near the 1st on bus stop? Also is that the same stop for on the way back from the parks, like at SSR?

The last stop is at the hospitality house and the first stop isn't far away, we request a room that is between the two, then we have both options, as going through the entire resort is time consuming, but the busses can be full by the last stop

where is the first stop?

reverse there two in the about list, Old Turtle Pond is 3rd, south Point is 2nd.

BillPA is correct:

1) Peninsular Road
2) South Point
3) Old Turtle Pond
4) Miller's Road
5) North Cove Road (Hospitality House)

That is the normal order. However, occasionally, but rarely, the order may change for road works and so forth.

Remember that one bedroom and two bedroom units in the buildings nearest stops 1, 4, and 5 will not have the second entrance to the bathroom, only one entrance, through the master bedroom.

Since Penninsular Road is the first stop, when we've stayed in buildings 15, 16, 17, or the elevator buildings, we've tended to get on and off at Penninsular Road. Since I use an ECV, it gives me a much better chance that there'll be room.

That is also my plan for an upcoming trip, since a friend shattered her femur length wise leg last February and can not walk well, I'm thinking she'll need an ECV or a wheelchair. I reserved a HA Grand Villa, and requested bldg 63.

The last 3 times we stayed at OKW, we carefully planned the bus system. We always book a Hospitality GV, which is only in buildings 24/25. So when leaving, we using the HH stop, and when arriving, we use the penninsular stop.

Using that method, we never have any other stops. The only issue that came was the HH pool closes kinda early, so the kids would want to go to another pool.. Which is a bit tricky with the bus loops. However, my kids have found that late in the night, the buses are usually happy to bring you anywhere if the bus is empty.

So, just to be clear, you chose the HH so that you didn't have to stop at any other stops on the way to the parks? Did you ever have an issue getting a seat?

Personally, I have had issues with buses being full at HH, and that was pre-COVID. One trip we had to wait to get on a second bus at HH, as first bus was filled to capacity and even when we did board it was standing room only. Plus, if you're traveling with someone in a wheelchair and staying in the HH area, be sure to board at the Peninsular Road stop, and tour around the resort, as busses only accommodate 2 or 3 scooters/wheelchairs and I've known some guests in scooters who've had to wait through 3 bus cycles to be able to board at HH. I've never had issues when my Mom was living, and in a wheelchair, boarding at South Point or Old Turtle Pond. And we preferred the Turtle Pond area of the resort more than near HH.

Yes, we chose HH just to have advantageous bus stops, plus close to the nicer pool, boat launch, food, store, etc.

Disney Transportation is such a blessing and a curse. On one hand, its super convenient. It will take you anywhere you anywhere you want to go. But if you are not near a bus stop, or are stuck waiting through many bus stops, or have to put up with full buses.... well, then it is really a curse since you might not have any other options.

So we will often base trips around seemingly trivial things like bus stops.

We personally never had a problem with full buses. We always rope drop to maximize the day. So we avoid using the buses right around 8-10am when they are really crowded.

Not my photo, but one I swiped from the Interwebs:

Buildings closest to the first stop (Peninsular Rd) are 23-29, but keep in mind that buildings 23-26 are all categorized in the separate booking category, "Near Hospitality House."
