Getting ready to call and make ressies at our 7 month window for OKW at the end of September. This trip we plan on less parks, more enjoying the resort. This our first stay at OKW. There are 4 adults and a 9,6,4 year olds. Is it better to stay near the HH or a more remote area such as Turtle Pond, etc.? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

We like the Peninsular Road area across the bridge from the main pool, HH, etc. It's just a short walk to everything. Being near the Community Hall and main pool is nice with kids if you are going to do some of the resort activities. We also like the Turtle Pond area - that pool is fine and it's nice to have a snack bar available.

On our last stay we were in room 1711 on MIller's Road (bldg 17, ground floor, one bedroom) we had a terrific view of Hole 9 and the waterfountain in the background. We were across the street from the bus stop, and the walk to the HH was about 5 minutes. Beautiful quite spot, you can watch the buses go over the bridge in the distance.

Hi--we just returned and we were in building 51.....in the future we will definitely request being closer to the HH area. Anywhere near the bus stop on Peninsula Road would be great. If you do get a room near the South Point bus stop, you can always hop on any of the park buses for a ride up to HH (with small kids we found this necessary). We used the quiet pool at the south end almost all week (the main pool had a broken water heater mid-week that was not fixed when we left and that was too cold for even our Minnesota blood.)

I could'nt agee with Macnjac more. We have stayed all over OKW, but always request a Miller Road spot. Short walk to HH, convenient bus stop, and a quiet pool that's almost always empty.
