Last week we stayed at OKW for 2 nights. I requested a Turtle Pond, golf/water view, which is my usual request. And I got it, well, at least the water view, in building 40! Worst view we've ever had in 25 visits. The room was just fine, clean, even the patio door shades worked expediently. But the view was, well, crappy. It was a retention pond w/ a fountain sprayer and a cement flow control contraption. Oh, and the busy road beyond a row of trees. When we checked in, the CM was quite nice, but, in retrospect, was sort of talking up this room (2 bdrm lock off) before we got to it. She said it was a water view as I had requested (yes, it was but ... ), that it was on the first floor which would be great with all the baby stuff for our two DGC under 3 (true, although I tend to prefer and request upper floors), and that it was close to the village pool and the bus stop (again true, as the bus traffic circle was right outside one of the bedroom windows). I should have paid closer attention at check-in. And for only two nights, I wasn't going to go back to request another location. But, I may be joining Diane in requesting South Point from now on - except for building 56.

LOL, well we have stayed in unites at Old Turtle Pond 4 or 5 times, and I have yet to get a location or unit I enjoyed. They have all been my least favorites with the exception that 29 still fills that "worst" spot for me. We disliked 40 and 41 the most.

At least it wasn't just us. We also thought the view was terrible when we stayed in that building last year. Also, there was so much road noise, we were disappointed that we couldn't enjoy the porch. What was wierd was that there weren't even any ducks or bunnies in that area. Just this "great" water view-

Yep, that's it! We were in a unit a little left of yours where we had a clear shot of concrete water control whatever it was. Ugly!

I had that building once too and was disappointed. Still not as bad as 28, which I had once. My favorites were 37, 43 & 31.

hey my worst was still the hill behind the golf course....
