Hello all. Dh wants to taek his Dad to OKW late next February or March for 2 nights to see a Braves spring training game. I'l have to wait to make ressies until the spring training game schedule comes out. I woudl imagine that is just a few months before? (And make sure I can get tickets, I don't know how quick these games sell out...) Do you think I'll have a problem getting a studio at OKW at short notice aroudn thsi time of year? I think the 7 month window woudl be in a couple months, but since they are going for only 2 nighst I have to wait to make them. Thamks for any advice.

Keep you eyes on www.atlantabraves.com for the Spring Training schedule starting in November-December. Tickets are sold through Ticketmaster (the schedule will be here, too). I think sales start in early January. Some very popular games (like the NY Yankees) will sell-out almost instantly. Seating on the grass (rather than in stadium seats) seems to last longer. Of course, this is also the popular spring break time at WDW as well.

If you have the points available, you might consider booking a week or long weekend for mid-March and then cancelling what you don't need when you find a game match. You can hope that a studio will be available for booking in January (it may) and/or you can improve your chances by expanding your search to studios at any of the DVC resorts.

Thansk Pam. I thought his chances woudl eb better at OKW plus it takes less points and they are really only going for the Braves so it is not important to be close to any of the parks. I'll pass this on to hubby. Thanks!

Schedule a week or so (more if possible) if you can in the time frame you're looking at. Then when the schedule comes out you can cancel what you don't need. Worst case scenario is there's nothing for you at all during the week you chose and all you have to do is cancel and try for something that will work. I'd doubt the games will sell out. You may want to consider BWV standard view as well. About the same points and much closer to where you want to get to.

I think that only the Yankees game sells out immediately. A few yrs. ago, I called Ticketmonster mid-morning on the day that those tkts. went on sale & only lawn seats were available. The spring training tkts go on sale in early Jan., you can follow the date on mlb.com.

I'd give the Disney Sports dept. a call before paying those rip-off ticketmaster fees. The toll free number is 1-800-500-8441. (Nothing about Spring Training yet, but you probably can get some advice.)

Good luck!:D
