HI,

I have read that this building does not have a parking lot and I would like to request one of the 60's buildings. Is the no parking lot a big deal? Do you just park in 63 and if so, how far is the walk?

Thanks,

Lauren

not a big deal at all. The walk is not far (in fact short if you compare it to another resort, like BWV, WV. There is a map of OKW out here somewhere, and you will see it is nothing.

You can park in the lot for building 63 or 15 -the walk would be about 1/2 a foot ball filed or 50 yards or so. Building 62 and 63 have parking lots and elevators if this is what this is all about.

We were there 3/2003 and had a 2br + stu in building 64 (facing the building we were on the left side). We were on the end next to building 15 and we parked there. If you're on the right side, just use the lot for building 63 or the one across the street, building 16. Don't worry, all spots are just hop, skip and a jump away.

We just spent 11 nights in 6424. As the other posters said, the three parking lots are all very near. We simply parked at the one with the closest space each time.

Nevertheless, it doesn't make sense to us to have no parking lot at one of the only elevator-equipped buildings. Whoever came up with that idea wasn't thinking very well.

There really wasn't room for a parking lot at 64 with proper setbacks front and rear.
We have been in 64 the last 3 years in a row and have never had a problem finding a spot nearby.

 Jaysue--Sorry typo 36 should be building 63, I corrected it --sorry

No problem Pa@okw95....I was laughing when I read that and I thought maybe you like to walk a lot...

Thanks

There is a map of OKW here on the DIS.

The parking for buidling 64 is very close-by. YOu can park next door at 63 and 15 or across the street at 16. All are a very short walk.

Here is a link to some other information about the <a href="http://disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=1251562#post1251562">OKW layout.</a>

Enjoy!

I love this place!!!!!

Thanks for all of your help.

Have a great weekend ~ if you are on the east coast ~ hopefully a dry one ( lol!!!!!)

We just returned from a stay in building 64 & loved it! True it does not have a parking lot directly in front of it like so many other buildings at OKW, but we had no problem finding a parking spot in the parking lots mentioned above. Also, I used an ECV during this stay & had no problems accessing the sidewalks or building 64.
