Seems to me that when we first purchased (1992) and in the folowing years, we always rented bikes and rode around the resort. Often went down to that Treehouse area as well. Always enjoyed the rides. Last trip, we nearly got run over by any # of cars and Disney busses. To the extent that we're not even thinking of riding bikes at OKW ever again.
Anyone else have thoughts on the bike riding experience at OKW??

We rent bikes every trip. We were told to stay on the sidewalks---which eliminates most of the car traffic hazzards!! After exiting OKW, you can ride the path over to the DTD area...about a 10-15 minute trip, mostly over a path with little pedestrian traffic. You can also connect up with the SSR area---we stayed on the sidewalks there too. I should note that all our trips are in the off season, so the number of people on the sidewalks is minimal..

I’ve seen a fair number of folks on bikes at OKW. They were always on the sidewalks, which, as mentioned, are far safer than the roadway. Some folks – and bus drivers! – go really fast around some of those curves!

It would be easier in the off-season, but the sidewalks are very wide, so it is doable even when the parks are busy.

I guess. BUt I always thought riding a bike on a sidewalk is one of the things you are NOTsupposed to do!!
Looks like we'll skip bikes again this year--.

There goes the neighborhood. Too many cars and busses. Just not like the good old times. Still love the place though.

Oh me too--.
But the traffic spoils the bike riding. And I'm just not going to ride on the sidewalk.
