What are they currently offering to add on at OKW? Price? Incentives? Expiring year?

Just bought OKW direct from DVD on Saturday- $96.00 per point, Expiration date: 2057
I wasn't offered any incentives, but then I only wanted 25 points. Usually incentives are for larger purchases.

What happens to your original date for 2042 experation if you decline the extension but purchase an add on with an experation of 2057?

If you buy through Disney, you now get the 2057.
To get an exp. of 2042, you would have to buy a resale contract that the owner has refused the extension on. You may even need to refuse the extension yourself, as the deadline isn't here yet.

If you already have one 2042 and add on 2057, I think they will be treated the same until Jan 31st 2042, you'll just lose the 2042 points after that. The two contracts won't get mixed together because add-ons have a different extension number to differentiate them.

If you decline the extension for your existing OKW contract, but do an add-on for 25 points that includes the extension, only those 25 points will have the extension. Legally the contacts, while under the same member number, are separate.

Really struggling to decide on the extension. Wife and I will be pushing 80 (hopefully). We are not limited on vacation choices, parents currently a 3 BR condo at Myrtle Beach and 2 condos at Wintergreen Resort here in Virginia. None of which ae in rental programs and are for family use only. Although they have never discussed the future of these three properties I feel they will be left to me and my brother to share. I know we could leave the DVC to our kids (4) but I also feel that they will have the vacation options we enjoy at present.

I will be 97 in 2042. I feel confident that I will no longer want to go to WDW at that age. At 80 I fully expect to be as interested in travelling to WDW as I am now! If I were you, those 15 years would be very important to me. After the present promotion it will cost $10 more per point! Just do it!

Thanks tvwalsh, actually had a discussion with my two older children DD-20 and DS-16 about the extension and their view point helped make up my mind to go ahead and do it. Now how make sure one will not hog all the reservations after wife and I are gone.
