We returned yesterday from our 14 night stay at Disney. We did our first 8 nights at OKW and then switched to BCV. We had a great cm at check in, just wonderfu, but we felt the other cm's there during our stay were hit or miss as far as how pleasant they were. This was resort wide......very hit or miss. I was a bit taken back by it too. The bell services guy we got on our switch day was just down right arrogant/rude to my dh. He was not happy that we had some grocery items to transfer over to BCV. After that exchange my dh was less than thrilled with some of the people that worked at OKW.
Over all we enjoyed our stay. We were in bldg. 63 on the bottom floor in a 2br room 6313. The location to HH was great. My two boys ages 14 and 9 loved loved loved Community Hally. They were there every day/night. Now....I will ALWAYS request top floor if we ever stay there again. We had a family ( I wonder if the 3 br villa was not above us????) that was above us for 6 of our nights and let me just say........I think they never slept. The kids would run around very early and very late. It sounded like they moved furniture....sliding/squeaking across the floor. The kids literally ran around the villa.....my kids ended up nick naming them the Elephant Family. Not sure what all went on up there. LOL My boys rented at sea raycer one afternoon and also a paddle boat another day. They paddled all the way to Port Orleans and back and thought they were going to DIE. They said "never again". LOL The busses ran pretty good....no major issues. We figured out on day 2 or 3 though that it was better to get off at the first stop at *****ular Road when returning from parks than to wait to the last stop at HH. It was a short walk to do this.
We ate at Olivia's only once and that was for lunch on our arrival day. It was okay.....it didn't blow us a way so we didn't try again for another meal. My kids got stuff from Goods To Go a few times and it was just your typical park food to me. The CM's there never seem to be happy. I enjoy the Artist Palette Much better at SSR and we missed that after a while. I wish OKW had a better counter service.
The 2br was HUGE HUGE HUGE.....Just HUGE. THAT WAS SO NICE. Now the only thing that I complained about to House Keeping (for when they cleaned) was the master shower. It had mold in it that grossed me out. Even when they cleaned it....it still didn't go away. They even did a complimentary 2nd clean to our villa two days later and it was still there. It took me til night 3 to get used to the VERY FIRM beds there...but after that....I was fine.
So the big question is "would I stay at OKW again?" Sure.....but not for 8 nights. We enjoyed the boat rides to and from DTD and the pool/CH was nice for the kids, but 8 nights was a little too long there for my family. The points are low and the villas are nice and big so that is nice.
