OKW 2BDRM questions

We are planning to book our first OKW vacation for the end of September in a week (we currently have a BLT LV Lock off booked but we're planning to switch and try OKW!).

Are there 2Bedroom Lockoffs and Dedicated at OKW? Just wondering if I'll need to make this choice...

Also - are there any differences between a 1st floor unit or one higher? Are the patios still fenced in? We'll have a 14 month old with us and while I hate lugging the stroller up the steps, a patio with a fence is probably more important!

Thanks in advance for the assistance! (Incase anyone wants to know, we will be a party of 6 - My parents, My 2 children (5 and 1), and my DS/myself.

Yes, there are both dedicated and lockoffs. Usually when you reserve a two bedroom villa, you will get a dedicated. You will be told if you get a lockoff. Or if you prefer a lockoff, just request that.

The patios do have a railing around them on the first floor.

Yes, there are both lock off and dedicated 2 bdms at OKW. Both will have two queen beds in the 2nd bedroom. The difference will be that a lock off will give the 2nd bedroom a separate entrance and a kitchenette. We stayed in a dedicated 2 bedroom on the first floor. I remember the balcony did have a tall railing around it, do your little one will be safe. I loved the 2 bedroom, especially the balcony because it was so roomy for the five of us.

Can I ask a follow up - on the dedicated 2 bedroom - will there only be one balcony off the living room/master?

I'm not really familiar with the patio/balcony layout of the studio to know if this is an extra feature or not!

We currently have a lock off at BLT because I would like my parents to have some privacy wrt coming/going...

Yes, the dedicated only has one porch. If can be accessed from the master bedroom or the living room. There is no porch on the second bedroom in a dedicated two bedroom villa at OKW.

Yes they are both lock off and dedicated units. The porches/patio in a 2 bedroom does have a railing around it. Even the ones on the first floor. The units that are higher up are and same as the lower ones.

I stayed in a dedicated 2 bedroom and have to say the Porch was wonderful. You can't call this a balcony because it's really a Porch. It had a table and 4 chairs and a ceiling fan. We really enjoyed this extra living space! We really enjoyed our dedicated 2 bedroom. The extra space in the second bedroom was great without the kitchenette. Having the second vanity was wonderful.
