Hello
Does/Can anyone recommend an area/bldg that has the 2 BR villas at OKW? Are they near main pool? OR do you suggest another area in resort? We understand it is B I G!

Also, Any recent photo's?

For a first onsite visit (wanting 2 br villa and not @ AKL) would you choose here with young kids?

Thanks for any opinions!!!! :flower3:

As for location, well it depends on what kind location you are looking for, close to bus stop, close to main pool, quiet and away from people, etc.

There is also an OKW lovers thread on the DVC area of these boards.

If I can find it, I'll post a link to an OKW map, have to find it first.

Ok, here is a link to the OKW map.

We absolutely love OKW. It's large, but it's quiet and laid back. The rooms are larger than other DVC resorts. The golf course surronding it gives it a 'resort' feel instead of a hotel feel.

Remember you can request a certain bldg, but it's not a guarantee that you'll get it. Feel free to PM me for any specific questions :goodvibes

We've stayed at OKW many times. The buildings in the back of the resort were the originals and have the larger rooms. We love staying around area
52-56. It's about a 5-10 min walk to the main pool but it doesn't bother us. If were just going for a quick swim we'll go to the quiet pool by our room. You can also take a stroll through the back trail to Turtle Pond.

Last December we stayed at OWK for 6 nights and loved it (we rented DVC points). Our 2 bedroom unit was huge. We were just across the road from the Turtle Pool which has a small snack bar and a playground. The Turtle Pond bus stop was very close but. We stayed in Bldg 43 on the first floor. It was very quiet. We had a beautiful view of the pond and enjoyed standing on our balcony at night looking at the Christmas lights many people had decorated their balconies with. We had two 6 yr olds with us and they loved the Turtle Pool. The pool was never crowded. There were no slides or fountains in the pool but it was fun. We also got to enjoy the hot tub near the pool. We didn't use the pool near the Hospitality House. This picture was taken from our balcony at breakfast. Because we were near the back of the resort the bus seemed to take a while when we got dropped off. We didn't have a car but many people staying at the resort did. The parking was right outside the door. A few in our group walked to the Hospitality House and said the walk was not bad. We ate at Olivia's once and took the boat to DTD. I look forward to staying at OKW again.
