Can anyone tell me the difference and what I could expect.?

What are the pro's and con's of each.

Thank for any input anyone may have.

At all DVC resorts- the dedicated 2BR villas will have additional closet area where the exterior entrance would be in a lock-off. There will not be a mini-kitchen in the dedicated and there will be no balcony/patio for the 2nd BR.

The lock-off 2BR's will have an exterior door, mini-kitchen and a balcony for the lock-off studio. In the lock-off- all keys will open both exterior doors.

Some will prefer the dedicated with children, since there will be only one exterior door. Some will prefer the lock-off 2BR when they have 2 families sharing the accommodations.

We've had both and find minimal difference in terms of function.

Enjoy!

Thank you. We' have no kids (or little ones anyway) so the extra door is not problem if we did get a lock off. I didn't realize we'd be missing the extra "mini" kitchen but there are only 5 of us staying in the two bedroom so the main kitchen will be fine if we're in a dedicated.

We just returned from OKW and had a dedicated two bedroom. It was just as WebmasterDoc had described. We had no problems with it at all. Our son was hoping it would not be a dedicated two bedroom so they could have a private balcony but he was still very impressed with the setup...smjj

Doc nailed it. Go for a lockoff ONLY if that second outside door is essential.
