And I hope he (she?) won't mind that I've posted it here. They intend to do something nice for someone FOR NO REASON!!!! Can you imagine such a thing?!?!? I think we should all get together as a (very large) group and do it too. Thousands of DISers doing even just one nice thing for a stranger at WDW. As Okduke posted, hold a door open, smile and say good morning! there are a million things big and small we could do to help make WDW a magical place!!!

What do you say? Are you in? Thank you SOOO much, Okduke for a much-needed reality check. I am in awe of your generous nature :sunny:

PS Okduke's original post can be read further down in the "WDW Don'ts.." thread. Sorry, don't know how to link. And, again, Okduke, hope you don't mind my presumption here!!

Whenever I am at WDW I ALWAYS offer to take photos for families / couples or even individuals. I know how frustrating it is to get back to looking at the pictures and not have very many with "mom" or "dad" included in the photo.

Also, the other thing I absolutely LOVE to do is take photos of couples with the "bride & groom" ears while they are on rides. Then when they exit the ride try to catch them and see if they would like me to email the photo to them (or take it to the photo center for them to print and buy). It's a great feeling to see the look of "oh wow...you would do that".

The one other thing I do is on the day or days I happen to use a wheelchair or ECV I ALWAYS leave at least a childs width between me and the curb so that I can offer a child or two "front curb" seating for the parade.

Those are the "little" things I do to make someone elses day magical!!!

I do this too. :thumbsup2

DISers are a special lot and do all sorts of nice things, at DW and elsewhere, just as a matter of fact. Bet most do not even realize that they ARE spreading Pixie Dust wherever they go. It is the attitude.

One day we will conquer the world with our niceness!!

This is pretty common practice where I come from. I would not think having these done would qualify as "magical". Any other suggestions for those of us who may be photographically challenged?

I love spreading pixie dust! On my last trip, I was celebrating my 45th birthday at a MVMCP. A little girl (about 3) must have heard me say that I was having the best birthday ever!, and came over to wish me a happy birthday after the christmas parade. Her birthday was coming up in the next few days. Well, she just made what was already a wonderful birthday so much more special. I thanked her and she and her parents went to sit on the curb to have their hot cocoa and cookies. I went inside the candy shop and bought a princess magic wand full of candy. I went back outside and gave it to that little girl. The look on her face (and her parents') was priceless! I just thanked her for her thoughtfulness and told her I hope she has a wonderful birthday too!

Being at Disney World is my most favorite thing to do, and when I'm there, I just want everyone else to feel as wonderful as I do.

When I go again (in 10 short days!) I hope I get that feeling all over again! Rest assured, when the time feels right, I will again spread some of that pixie dust!

My favorite thing to do hand out extra glow bracelets I bought at the dollar store. I got a package of 15 for $1, so about 6.5 cents each. I bought 10 packages, so I had A LOT to hand out!

When going into HM with another family, their boys were getting a little nervous. I brought out the glow bracelets and they loved them. It kept them occupied enough to get them on the ride and they ended up really liking the ride.

Also, on our last night DD and I were in line to see Mickey and Minnie during EMH and got in front of 2 of the nicest ladies from Alabama. They were disappointed that they forgot their light up necklaces back at the hotel. I happened to have a few of the glow bracelets left and made necklaces for them while we were standing in line. They thought it was great and even had their picture taken in them.
