Okay...what building (non-smoking) to request at POFQ?

We would like to be close to the pool/food/bus stop, but not be too noisy...we aren't asking much

I am partial to building four. It is the building closest to the bus stop, and it's right next to the food court. It's maybe a minute or two to the bus and food court, just a few minutes to the pool, and maybe five minutes to the boat dock. It's a very convienent location. I thought it was a very quiet location--the room I was in in May overlooked a lovely courtyard and fountain.

We were in #5 last trip and will request it for the next one. We were on the 3rd floor, facing a courtyard. It was close to everything, pool, lobby, food court, and river. It was quiet (VERY quiet), sometimes it seemed like we had the whole area to ourselves!! I know #5 is non-smoking too, that's extremely important to us since we have a child with asthma.

I agree 4 or 5. They're both close to the pool, bus stop and lobby. 4 is a little closer to the parking lot. I think all the rooms are quiet because between the buildings and around the pool there are these beautiful brick street/alleys that are surrounded by landscaping which keeps foot traffic a little away from your door.

I was very happy with building 5. We had booked a standard room and the view was great we had a huge courtyard in front of us and could also see the sasssagoula river. I put the request on my reservations and then when I checked in I asked if I could get a room in building 5 and I did! Have fun!

Thanks from me too ! We are staying here on our trip in November. Most people recommend Bldg 5 but I think we would prefer the location of Bldg 4. You guys always provide such great info on these boards. I'm glad I found them for this trip!!

Well if Bldg 4 is smoking we won't be staying there. My oldest DD has asthma and we have a guaranteed non-smoking room. Thanks for the info Susy!

Building 4 was smoking before rehab- at least part of it was I know. I'm concerned about this too as DS3 has asthma and we are guaranteed a non-smoking room too. Anyone know for sure?

Thanks! Going there this weekend for my daughter's 7th bday . I've asked for waterview in bldg 5-hope I get it!

Thanks for the comments about smoking rooms- I was recently diagnosed with asthma and this is not something I usually thought about!

when we stayed there in may, bldg 4 was a smoking bldg, my dfil was in his first 2 weeks of being a non smoker (never even think of having a magical gathering with a brand new ex-smoker) anyway, we where in bldg 5 rooms 5104-5106 and we could see the pool but never ever heard noise! of course we where in the parks during the day and never more than 10 or 15 swimmers at night. location was FANTASTIC!! and we LOVED this resort!
