Had to be scripted.. No way I believe anyone would do this - even the worst of Bridezillas!

This particular Bridezilla didn't want to pay a bunch of money for food at the reception - she thinks that all caterers charge outrageous amounts just because people are "stupid" enough to pay them - so - her solution?

For her 100 invited guests, she chose 50 of her closest friends and family - who would receive a full sit-down "dinner" - and the other 50 were going to be served appetizers only!!!

Please tell me that was scripted..

That's right up there with the bridezilla who got ticked off because one of her bridesmaids had to drop out of the wedding 3 days prior - due to a death in her family - and she wanted the bridesmaid to see if the family could "move" the funeral to Sunday!!

Definitely scripted.. No one in their right mind could be that cruel - ya think?

I rarely watch Bridezilla, but I caught those episodes. :scared1: The cheap food chick was a doozie......But that witch that was put out because her bridesmaid's aunt had the NERVE to die right before the wedding took the cake. :lmao: "Would it be tacky if I suggested they reschedule the funeral?" Gee, YA THINK?????:confused3 Because it's all about YOU, not a dead woman whose family is grieving. And that poor whooped fiance of hers.....They agreed to not have sex until they were married, so I swear he would agree to anything she said just to get her to the altar and in a horizontal position. :rotfl2: I could have croaked when he pointed out that the dead woman "wouldn't even know" if her niece/the bridesmaid missed the funeral, whereas his beloved bride to be was alive and well and WOULD be aware of the absence. Boy, they deserve each other.

She kept her shower guests waiting for somewhere in the neighborhood of 3 hours and seemed to think it was cute. It was perfection when none of her bridal party made it to the rehearsal. She sure didn't like it when the tables were turned. I don't know if she's so much a bridezilla as another word that starts with the same letter......;)

How did you like that get up she wore to her bridal shower - and then refused to eat because she didn't want to take off her gloves??

Yup - the "other" word.. LOL..:rotfl:

I don't know if it is scripted, per se...but I do think it is embellished with encouragement of the crew. I find that in several scenarios---there are just way to many awkward pauses and other things that give the feel
of an improvised scene.

I totally agree, and I think that family/friends are in on it too. They put up with a lot of crap for these horrible women. I would think many of them would reach their breaking point if this show were completely real.

They are behaving outrageously because they could win a free honeymoon trip. So yea, their behavior is probably more exteme than they would normally be. I watched a bunch of episodes last year, can't bring myself to watch any more.

Do you watch My Fair Wedding with David Tutera on We? Some of those girls have some wacky ideas for their wedding and reception, but David always makes it a glamous event.

I seriously doubt that it was scripted as I was in a wedding where only the "better guests" got to have a drink. The reception was at a country club. They passed around some cheap champagne (no refills either). But they gave their membership number to the "better guests" so they could go to the bar and order a real drink.

As I bridesmaid I was one of the "better guests". I bought drinks for a lot of people that night. People were going around saying "How did you get a drink?"

This was the same bride who sent out SO many invitations to her wedding that several came back marked "deceased". If you don't know someone well enough to know if they are dead or alive you have no business inviting them to your wedding.

This sounds like what we refer to as a phone book wedding-very popular with politicos. You open the phone book and invite everyone. Of course, they serve good food or else they'll lose votes:).

Oh and I think most of the episodes are scripted to a certain degree.

I have been to a wedding where only guests at certain tables were served champagne. The rest of us had a cash bar available. When we questioned where why we weren't being served champagne, we were told that they couldn't afford to buy it for everyone so they only picked tables where their friends were seated. Since I was only a cousin, I could pay for my own.

Unbelievable. :scared1:

Bridezillas is not scripted. However, many many more "bridezillas" are filmed than appear on the show. They film a lot of ladies and only the most outrageous go on television. If your filming makes it to the tv show, you get a free, all expenses paid honeymoon anywhere you want to go.

So while it isn't scripted, they do have motivation for being very outrageous.

This is awful. If people can't afford the same thing for everyone, they should cut the list. I'll bet they expect those who don't get champagne to buy gifts as nice as those who did.

I thought I read online that they get something like $2,000 bucks.

I'm not sure if it was a new episode or not, but how about the bride that forgot to send out invitations and then got a colon cleanse to drop a few pounds. That's got to be fake! :scared1:

The first season of Bridezillas wasn't that bad. It was more realistic - lots of Type-A, control freaks. I haven't watched it since season 2 when the fame-hungry psychos emerged. It's ridiculous!
