I made our reservations for our trip to AS Sports next March last week and told the CM I would mail in my deposit. The next day I decided just to put the deposit on my bank card. I use it all the time and never have trouble. That was Thursday or Friday. Well, today I received my receipt in the mail where I had paid the deposit, $111.00. This has not shown up on my account yet. I can check it on line and do every day. My bank is really fast and charges I make ususally show up within a day or so. How long does it usually take for your payment to show up on your bank card? I know a lot of you don't like to use your bank card for security purposes but our bank treats it as a credit card with the same protections. I have just never had a charge take this long especially when I got a confirmation of the payment already in the mail.

I got an even better one for you-

I made my res last month- switched resorts at the beginning of the month and it still shows that the res has been cancelled on the website.

I have called and asked why it is saying that my new res has been cancelled..

their answer- it is still being booked!

Does it really take a month to book a res?
I expected it to take longer because of special requests(accessible room) but a month?

I know that when I mailed my deposit it took like 3 weeks for it to show up on my account. (i can check online to see what has cleared)

I know that most places will put the charge thru and if it doesn't show up in like 14 days it is removed,/taken off hold(the money becomes available again)

so call and ask them, or wait and see- if Disney says that you have paid, they are just processing the charge. Some companies might just drop charges like once a week or so, just a thought

We called to add an extra night onto our existing reservation and I received confirmation from Disney with my credit card payment listed 6 days later. It took 3 more weeks for them actually post the charge to my card (like you, I have online access). It had been long enough that at first I didn't remember what the charge was for (selective amnesia, I am sure!). My guess, yours will show up somewhere down the line........

I have the best story. In 98 I stayed 4 days at the Wyndham Palace in Down Town Disney (convention, really wanted to stay on-site but it would have been too much trouble). I used my credit card to confirm the reservation and at the end of the stay I signed the room charges to the card. It was never put on my card. I kept looking for it and it just never showed up. It was a present from Visa.

More likely, it got billed to the "Master" account for the convention. I've coordinated many large group meetings and this happens a lot. If the coordinator isn't especially diligent about checking the charges, it's easy for this to happen. Trust me, VISA (and the hotel) got its $$ - they always seem to, LOL! I think your thank you should have gone to your convention organizer.

Best wishes -
