Okay. So this MySpace thing.

She was mentally unstable. You couldn't expect her to think properly.

The girl had had a very hard life, so when someone said they liked her, it meant a lot. She trusted him. As bizzare as it sounds, she did, she trusted him. And her mom, however wrong it was, saw how happy she was and didn't want to screw it up.

So of course when he started spreading rumors, she freaked, she came undone. Because she was unstable. I can't imagine the thoughts that were racing in her head.

Understand the story, the girl, before you criticize it.

But it's common sense and irresponsible to do anything of the sort.
I wasn't about criticize.
She is dead.
And it's horrible.
But it just doesn't make an ounce of sense.
Call me stupid.

But she should have been smarter.

I live right by O'Fallon where it all happened.
I hear about it everyday on the news and we discuss it at school and the dinner table.

well yeah myspace can be used 2 hurt a persons feelings but why would u commit suicide over a reputation. Some people should try and take things diffrently and realize that there reputation isnt that important.I got in big trouble for a "stunt" i pulled on myspace. None of this is myspaces fault its the arrogance of some people that are constanly putting people down for fun and people that are to sensitive and care wayyyyy 2 much for there reputation.

she was MENTALLY UNSTABLE. she was not stupid. She was out of touch with reality, and this was not her fault. It was EVERYONE in teh situation's fault EXCEPT hers.

Sorry for the double post, but I'm not sure you know the story.

The girl was depressed, horribly awfully depressed. I can get if you don't understand what that means, but she doesn't think clearly. She couldn't control her emotions. And she certainly didn't commit suicide over a reputation. She commited suicide because (in her mind) the one good thing in her life had just turned his back on her, she didn't have anything to live for. She thought everyone hated her.

well the media usually has to find something or someone to blame even if it clearly isnt the problem. Obviously Myspace didnt make anyone kill themselves but it sounds much more dramatic in the news or headlines if thats what is said..I wouldnt get to worked up over it, it happens all the time with things other then myspace...and in all honesty as you get older you wont care about myspace anymore cuz after highschool it dies. You will realize that is the inferior of the two social networking sites and switch to facebook!, which seems to have less of the problems of myspace cuz most of the crazies are still there and hopefully will stay there...so do your self a favor delete your myspace and switch to facebook! i promise in the long run you wont regret it!

plus myspace is falling apart....it is being overrun with spam, viruses and those darn fake friend requests that seem to plague my profile! if i were a lesser person i would be upset and throw something but then i realize i have my beloved facebook and all is ok again

I have the "is myspace good or bad" talk with my parents a lot. I always win. I tell them myspace doesn't cause people to act the way they do. They change theirselfs. Also, people could just choose to leave probelms alone then fighting back. It's fighting back with a keyboard.
