Okay, so it's been a couple years since we last traded...got a few questions!

We are going to WDW in October. We last went in 2006. From browsing the boards, it still looks like we will be able to trade with CM's, correct? As long as they are official Disney pins & are not ones on their lanyards, they must trade with you, correct? Also, last time I remember something about a certain color lanyard meant that that CM would only trade with kids. Is that still the case? If so, which color?

I'm also seeing things about Pin Boards -- are the rules the same for that? They will trade you for any of yours as long as they are official and not duplicates? Where can I find out more info about those?

Also, anything new for pin trading on the DCL?

Can't wait to get down there -- we've been looking through our pin books! Brings back some great memories!

I'll help some and maybe others will chime in with what they know.

CMs still trade and kids only traders wear a blue or blue/green lanyard. CMs have to trade if it is not soemthing they already have. Only 2 trades per person per CM.

The Pin boards are in various locations (DTD Pin Traders/Epcot Pin Trading/and some resorts). I understand that you can ask to see the boards, but I have never done that. If the boards are brought out while you are there, you can trade up to two pins from the board.

We took the cruise in March and there was pin trading every night but one night was pin trading with the crew. A lot of fun!

We returned from a trip in December. The CM's that traded then with only children wore green lanyards. They had very special pins on them.

Also, there are pin trading boards all throughout disney. We found them at all of the customer service area, where you rent strollers in AK, the pin stores in MK, and in DTD. At DTD, they had a pin trading time for their board and had traders line up in the order them arrived to trade.

Also, I agree about buying some before you go. My dtr did not want to trade any pins from her previous trips but she spent a ton of money at disney buying pins. For our next trip she is buying trading pins ahead of time.
