This may take me a bit but let me at least start with the lineup and see how far I can get this morning!
The Cast-
Me- Luckiest Mom in the world to three beautiful kids who make me laugh more than you can ever imagine, Disney fanatic (I swear I had Mickey ears on in utero!), super planner and researcher
DH- Greatest Dad and Husband ever, finds humor in everything, Disney convert who has also become obsessed with all things Disney, On a hunt to find every hidden Mickey
DS#1- 3 almost 4 (well he is 4 today! Happy Birthday Peanut!) going on 40! Insanely funny (and knows it!), will talk to anyone about everything, loves going to Mickey Mouse's House (his 3rd trip- poor kid
)
DD- 2 but thinks she is much older, crazy sense of humor, our resident daredevil (I swear this child has no fear!
) loves Cinderella and Ariel as well as Pig Pig (piglet) and a slew of other characters
DS#2 - 6 months old at trip time, first trip to Mickey Mouse's House, he is our observer, you never know what he is thinking, he likes to sit back and take it all in,
decided on this trip that he likes to chew on Mickey's nose, swim in the pool at the Poly and it would be a good time to start crawling!
Grandma (my Mom)- one word- pushover! Never says no to the above mentioned children (and they know it!)
Hasn't been to WDW in 19 years, couldn't wait to see the kids enjoy it,
probably needed a vacation form our vacation!
Grandpa (my Dad) - one word- troublemaker!!!- always does fun stuff with the kids and likes to encourage them to do things that they definetly aren't allowed to do ( like jumping on the bed!!!
) and then act like nothing is amiss, another one with a crazy sense of humor
Okay- now you know a little about our group I shall begin!
Monday night Grandma and Grandpa arrive at our house to spend the night as we have an early morning flight. DS#1 is overwhelmed by all the excitement and will not go to bed until about 10:30. No biggie, who wouldn't be excited? I of course sleep about an hour as I am getting all the last minute stuff together. Anyway- the next morning we arrive at the airport and I send the family to get breakfast and to bring me back something and I go and wait on line to board (Southwest has no assigned seats). I am the first person on line to board after those with disablities. When the time comes to board another family (who was not on line) rushes past us
I cannot lie when I tell you that I was so mad!!! It was just so rude! I didn't say anything because we both had kids with us but I do believe in Karma. They were totally rude. Anyway- not going to let them ruin our trip. We have a great flight to MCO. The kids were happy, we were happy, all was right in the world!
We take ME to the Poly. We were a bit disappointed that they didn't play the movie (DVC info) this time but it was a quick trip. Upon arrival we found out that our rooms weren't ready so we have lunch and go for a walk around the property to show my parents. After a bit I call to see if the rooms are ready and they are not but I get a wonderful CM who tells me to hold on and she will see what she can do. Alas!!! She has rooms ready for us!!! I want to kiss the ground she walks on!
I promptly ask for her name as I will be writing to WDW to let them know how great she is. Carissa we love you!!!
I get our group together and head down to the lobby to check in. I let them know how happy I am with Carissa and I write a little note for the manager as well. Check in was a breeze. CM Sarah was very helpful and was able to transfer our ticketmania tickets onto the room cards. All of our requests were met (non smoking, connecting rroms). We couldn't have been happier.
That's all for now but I will be back hopefully soon to continue!
