I was able to pick this up in an antique store for $5. It has a little damage to the finger and the ear. The Paint has worn off and I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this?

Hi Nat,

I have that one - what a deal you got.

I think the statue itself is metal, so maybe like a model paint would work.

It is still a great deal - I wonder why someone would get rid of it so cheap.

Good Luck.

Thank you for the ideas... And Judy and Kathie thank you for the emails. I will let you know how I make out. :)

Nat, if it was me and I got it for $5 I would try the model paint route. I would lightly sand the area around the chip with fine sandpaper to smooth out and rough it up. I would then apply several layers of thinned paint to the area until I got it to look the same. Not sure what this would do to the collectability of it though.

Not a bad idea Dom.... Not a bad idea.
