We have two boys, aged 5 and 2. We're going in Jan, and so far, I've made ADRs at Shutters, Spoodles, Boma, Rainforest Cafe and Hoopdehoo.

We're going to book the Crystal Palace. We'd LOVE to book 1 or 2 more character meals--any suggestions? Is there a Buzz Lightyear meal? Captain Jack, anything like that? Thx

We'd like to book 2 'romantic' meals for DH and I (we're planning on getting sitters for 2 of the nights). The food has to be EXCELLENT--DH is a food snob :rotfl:

Thank you!!

My DS's favorite character meal is the 'Ohana Breakfast with Stitch. Pretty good food and Stitch has always been a great troublemaker. ;)

DS is also a big fan of the Rainforest Cafe.

There's no Buzz Lightyear meal at disney. Though a young boy would probably really enjoy the Sci-fi dine in.

:thumbsup2 Narcoossees @Grand Floridian for one of your romantic meals. DH and I loved it:thumbsup2.

Chef Mickey's was our 5yo boy's favorite meal.

He also liked Coral Reef.

Believe or not he liked Narcoossee's. I think it was the Electric Water Parade and Wishes. He also like the Mickey pasta there.

I agree with Ohana's Breakfast with Lilo, Stitch and others. They have a parade where the children can march around with maracas. Lots of fun. They serve the food skillet style and all you can eat.
Hollywood and Vine Character meals are also great-they have the Little Einsteins, Jojo, Goliath. Buffet style
Liberty Tree Tavern is also great . Chip, Dale, Goofy, Minnie and lots of interaction. Food is seved family style. Lots of fun.
Romantic-Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian. It is right on the water with spectacular views of the electric parade and the fireworks. The food is simply delicious from start to finish.
Have a great trip:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

It's not a table service, but our kids enjoy Pizza Planet at MGM. I can't say I do, it's loud and the food isn't great. But it seems my kids enjoy it, as much as Andy in the movie. They also like 50's Prime time.

I would have to say our son 3 liked Crystal Palace, Chef Mickeys, and The Little Einsteins breakfast. He also found alot at Boma. Rainforest Cafe scared the beejeebers out of him. He thought the animals were real and the lightening was loud. The food was great though.:thumbsup2

I have two boys (They're 7 and 9 now), but their fave character meal has been the one at Ohana, especially now that Stitch is there.

As for you and DH, try LeCellier in Canada (Epcot)

Can't answer regarding character meals but the two best food restaurants on property are:

1. Victoria & Albert's
2. Ca Grill

just got back on sunday and went to breakfast at hollywood and vine in mgm. they had the playhouse disney chracters there. my dd2 and ds5 loved it. food was all you can it. they had a really great time!

It seems this is a common review of this restaurant and character meal. We canceled our ADR for this one, too full already...lol But I think if these characters appeal to him and you want to see him dance go for it . Seem like the little ones really light up for this.

Our boys love Coral Reef -- do lunch, get there early and ask for a front row table.

As for romantic dinner for a food snob -- V&A is the place.

My 3 boys are all under 6 and they love Donalds Breakfastaurus in AK and Stitch's breakfast at the Poly.

Ditto for my boys!

Pizza Planet is cool, too, but not a character meal. Lots of seating though and when my kids were little, they really felt like they were at Pizza Planet from Toy Story.

Your little one especially will love the Playhouse Disney characters there, and they have the kids get up and dance - lots of fun. We went for lunch and the food was very good.

My DS5's favorite restaurants on our last trip were the Lilo & Stitch breakfast and Coral Reef.

Ohana breakfast, Lilo, Stitch, Mickey. Chef Mickey's, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, etc. Coral Reef. Crystal Palace, Pooh and Friends.

My 4 yr old son loved Pizza Planet. I didn't, but I it was only one meal!

He also loves Crystal Palace w/Pooh and this year we're going to the Hollywood and Vine Play and Dine Breakfast with Playhouse Disney. He has a crush on June! :)

I was also told by a CM on phone with WDW DINE that the most popular "boy" meal is Donald's Breakfastasaurus in AK. So I booked that too.

the food is mediocre at both of these places but for young boys its hard to top the setting of the Sci-Fi Dine In or the rainforest Cafe. When T-Rex opens that will probably become #1 in this department
