Here are my initial thoughts after seeing Chuck and Larry.
I don't do spoilers, but if you want to know anything specific I'd be happy to answer those questions by PM.
I saw it this morning with my DGF. Overall I'd give it a thumbs up. There was far less raunchy boy humor than I was expecting, although what's there is definitely over the top. FYI - it's front-loaded with the stuff so if you see it don't worry that the whole movie will be like the first 15 minutes.
Cons: It had some pretty big plot holes, and I didn't find it very emotionally resonant. The female characters are all comic gags or sex-objects. As much as I love Jessica Biel, she didn't add much to the movie and while I could buy her as Adam Sandler's *** Hag, I could NOT see her being interested in him romantically.
Pros: It was funny, had a great message and overall it was quite enjoyable. It dealt with several different kinds of prejudice and featured multiple characters who went from intolerant to accepting. There were certainly things about it that rubbed me the wrong way, but in that this is a movie that appeals to straight and even slightly homophobic audiences and carries a pro-gay message, I'm willing to let those things slide.
So there you go!
