well sort of...I'm busy daydreaming, about to step off the curb, my ankle twists and next thing I know I totally hit the ground with my knee!! It was the strangest thing, but I jumped up and kept walking out of complete humiliation.

Now my ankle is throbbing and my knee hurts.

Is this what comes with getting older???

LMAO. Nope. I've been that way since I can remember! Although it DOES get worse as you get older!

Been there.... :rolleyes2 ......I have been paying attention to where I step, since I am #1 clutz... :lmao:

I hope you are ok.......I hate when that happens ;)

The other day at work I had on sweater over my shirt b/c I was cold and it was kinda long. Well I have a habit of sitting on my leg while in my chair at work and I went to get up and my heel of my boot was stuck in my sweater and I went flying when I tried to get up  I don't think anyone actually saw me do it but you could hear my fall :rotfl2:

Apparently. I did the same thing walking into Starbucks on Sunday, except it hurt too much to stand back up, luckily dh was there to haul me back onto my feet. Luckily it was just a bad bruise on my ankle and I'm much better today.

Growing old stinks :sad2: .

Oh you poor thing! I hope your allright, maybe some ice and do check it later tonight. Now I just have to ask this. Is today your first day with your new feet! ;)

You would think!!! Who just loses their balance like that? I was looking at the curb and have no idea how I twisted my ankle.... :confused3 :rotfl:

I fell down the church steps at my DS's wedding. The church is on a mall in Cape May which is a busy little seashore town. The mall, of course, was packed that day.
Have you ever heard a collective gasp from 300 people? It's quite amazing. When I asked one of my nieces if she had seen me fall she said, which much sympathy, "No, but I'm sure somebody has it on video."

Ooops! I am sorry for your stumble, but I think I can make you feel better.

I did something similar CROSSING BROADWAY IN TIMES SQUARE IN NEW YORK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY!!!

Don't ever let anyone tell you that New Yorkers are rude. Several of them stopped to see if I was OK. A traffic cop even came over. Boy was I ever embarrassed. I was just to busy sightseeing to notice and I did the same as you. Twisted the ankle and down I went.

Since I was by myself on that trip and DH didn't get to witness the spectacle, I did re-enact it at MGM studios for everyone. They got their pictures and a good laugh at my expense.

I have also fallen in my new driveway coming out of the garage twice since we have lived here. Our garage has a step-down and I apparently just can't wrap my brain around that! Luckily I am 5'2" tall so it's not a long trip down to the ground!

I hope you're okay!

I've got my left foot propped up in an air cast right now. I hurt it 3 weeks ago while . . . exercising.

Thought it was just a bad sprain, but now I think it's some tendon damage. So I'm back to the doctor on Friday.

I'm just not healing as quickly as I used to!!

I have to admit, I trip over my own feet ALL the time!

Hope you're feeling better!

Raising hand... Hi, my name is Manna, and I'm a clutz! :)

my family calls me "grace"....they started this when i was little because apparently i am a bit of a clutz and was not graceful--so now , they call me grace haha

Sorry to hear that you fell. Hope you are feeling alright. It happens though, and it has nothing to do with age. My best friend tripped (over nothing) and fell on her first date with her now fiance. They were walking in a courtyard area shops and restaurants with lots of people around when he turned to say something to her and she was gone. Well, she wasn't really gone, she was just down. Splat! She scratched her toenail polish, her sunglasses, scraped her knee and hand. He went over helped her up and asked if she was alright. The next day she called me first thing in the morning to tell me what happened. I cracked up hysterically. She was so thankful that he didn't laugh, that she was compeled to say yes when he asked her to marry him, lol. We still laugh at her falling on their date.
