Though www.google.com has never failed me yet, there are many other great search engines out there on the Net. How do you sort through them? Maybe this will help you select the best for what you are trying to accomplish, just an FYI........

I ALWAYS use www.dogpile.com

They show the search results from several different search engines, including... Google, Overture, Ask Jeeves, Looksmart, About, FindWhat and FAST.

A past job I had was researching companies to update our contact info and although I used Google a lot I found that alltheweb.com worked pretty well too.
