Okay...did I Jinx Us For Tomorrow Making My Adr's????

Have both cell phones and the house phone programmed with the WDW dining telephone# for easy redialing, etc. (speed dialing)

Had my DH test the programmed dining number on his cell phone and he did it at about 7:00 am this morning (not sure why he chose that time)...I had already left the house to take DD up to bus stop..anyhow...he told me later on that morning that he got right through to a CM!!!!!! Absolutely no wait time...

Then this afternoon about 2:45 PM, I wanted to test my cellphone to make sure the same dining number was correct (for tomorrow) and it worked...so then I thought, okay the last phone to test/try is the house phone...so I dialed using the preprogrammed dining number that I put on speed dial and went through the prompts and immediately got a CM...so I thought well I got this far...let me ask the CM to verify my 90 day ADR date (which I already knew) and he did..(which is tomorrow...wish my luck everyone)....

But my point is both of us got right through...so I hope I haven't jinxed myself for tomorrow morning...I will be ready with two cell phones and house phone in hand, speed dialing, with two pens (1) for backup, my ADR's with backups, in priority order and the cell phone chargers (in case battery dies) and the other house phone handset to transfer the call (scary thought though) in case the portable battery dies...I think I have my bases covered.... Can you tell I'm just a little OCD nervous...

omg so funny! I made sure all phones were charged and I hade my desk in order with everything i needed... All my questins written down. I was over prepared! Trust me they are so there to help you get what you want, they are so patient and there for you when you call. I had my speadsheet ready to go and was litterally waiting on them most of the time. Also my lady kept having to appolagize to me ( kinda got tired of that). Anyways good luck I was just there on Sunday. I know how you feel!

Love the effort, I will be same way in June, my sister, mom and me are planning a reservation party for our date (make luggage tags, shirts, kids stuff, and eat of course), the fun part is we have to get up at 4:00am to make reservation since we live in WA. Thanks everyone....well, it's this morning and I'm patiently waiting for my time to call. Hopefully, we'll get right through.....wishful thinking, but it's about wishes right?

Everything is ready to go, pens, binder, planning sheet, calendar, backups of everything, including phones, charges, etc.

Having neighbor pick up my DD to bring her to the bus stop...

On 2nd cup of coffee...tic, toc, tic, toc.....

All that's needed is some pixie dust sprinkled on this morning!

Okay...got through exactly at 7:00 am...no wait! Have a very nice CM....got everything I wanted..had to switch 2 TS for different nights...no problem...and a couple TS dinners were later than I planned...but that's okay...overall wonderful experience...but I will say...planning makes all the difference in the world..

Had I not had the planning worksheet from the internet and backups for different days and a little bit flex in our times...I would have been on the phone a lot longer..

Total time from pickup of phone by CM was 21 minutes...hopefully that's a good sign for anyone else this week making their Ressies! Good Luck to Everyone.

I got through immediately yesterday morning, made my ressies, got some that I wanted, didn't get others. Today I call back at exactly 90 days for HS, hoping some more tables were released. Well, I whipped through all of the prompts but when asked to press 1 for reservations between May 26-June 24 (or something like that) and I pressed 1, I heard a click, nothing, then a minute later, "to take a survey about your call experience, press 1 otherwise, please hang up." Of course I call right back, but now I'm on hold knowing that the Fantasmic Package @ MM is slipping away, as is Sci Fi. Neither were available when I called yesterday. Anyway, after 15 min. on hold I hung up. Just one little stupid glich can be the difference with how competitive the ADRs are now.

I think that my sister and I will do this when we make our reservations for our grand gathering, maybe split the days up, or work on CRT and Crystal Palace, then the rest of the reservations.

Honestly, planning does make the difference....making sure you have everything ready and backups and most importantly a little flexibility. I also think that when the CM is looking up for times...tell him/her that you would take anything between say 4 - 6:30...I could hear her in the background putting in that range and checking what was available as opposed to saying I'll take anything from 6:00 or 6:30...because it seemed like (just from what I was interpreting) that if you gave a range...the CM would get the closest to time you "really" were aiming for...It really seem to work. I did have to tweak my schedule a little bit...but nothing major...I was pleasantly surprised and extremely happy that it all went over without any major glitches, long holds or hangups, etc. It was a very positive experience. One more note. We started calling at approximately 6:50 am...with three phones speed dialing at all once...and kept redialing with the speed number so we wouldn't waste time dialing the number regularly until a CM picked up. By 7:01 am a CM picked up and the rest went smoothly...We did the exact same thing 4 years ago...Hoping everyone on the boards as this kind of good luck! Wishing everyone gets what they want too. Spreading pixie dust to all of you that are coming close to your 90 ADR! May all of you feel the magic too.

Great news!! It's nice to hear some positive reviews. Can I just ask one thing...you mentioned that you had to take some ADR's a bit later than you would have liked, how much later was that?

I have called in the last couple of days and gotten right through. But the first 2 calls I made, I was on the phone for 52 and 48 minutes respectively! I couldn't believe it. The last call I made (this morning) was only 12 minutes! NICE!!!!
