what do you think of Dell's 8250? http://www.dell.com/us/en/dhs/products/series_dimen_desktops.htm

our current pc is on its last legs so I'm starting to look around...there are all of these sales at Dell that expire tonight (of course!) so am wondering if anybody has any feedback.

Well I have a new Dell laptop that I really like! They have good quality merchandise, but like any other product out there in the world, there will be some people who swear by Dell, and some who hate Dell. If it is a good price for you, and has the options you and your family need, then go for it!

I love my Dell. It's 2 1/2 years old now, and when it bites the dust I'll get another Dell. I bought mine online with no regrets..

In general, I think Dell's are one of the best brand name computers out there. Usually are decently priced too

Dell's are great, but here's something a lot of people don't know: you don't have to pay the shipping (which is often too high). Call them and tell them what you want, but you don't want to pay the shipping (you can also tell them that Gateway has been running a free shipping offer). They'll take it right off. My friend just did this a couple of days ago. They said "No Problem" and removed the shipping costs!

We have a Dell 8200 (prior generation to the 8250) which we love. We had a small problem (hard drive bit the dust). They sent us a new one overnight, and sent a tech to install it.

Some folks have said their service was hit or miss, but we had great luck with it, and now the computer is cruising right along again!!!

I would buy another Dell in a heartbeat.
