I got ready for the winter today!!! I went out , cleaned out the shed, put stuff back in the basement, took the snowblower out and started it...( I would hate to discover that it doesn't start when I need it ) and everything is in place except for the swings on the deck, those I will take apart later. How about you??

This is the most depressing time of the year for me. I cleaned out all the pots on the back deck, and brought in other plants that can live inside. Then I stored them all. I gathered all the gardening tools, cleaned and oiled them and stored them all away. I am mowing the lawn today (probaby for the last time) and putting on winterizer. Dh already blew out the sprinkler system since we're not allowed to use it anyway due to the drought. No outside watering after 9/15. Besides, it could freeze this weekend, so it needed it anyway.

It's not even fall yet, and I am preparing for winter. Last night at dinner I called winter a bully. It pushes itself on all the other seasons. It snowed in the mountains yesterday (stills summer), fall get hardly anytime (the leaves usually freeze on the limbs before they've had a chance to properly change) and Spring is wrought with snow storms. I've been known to wear a winter coat on Memorial Day.

Okay, I'm done ranting. I just hate this time of year.
