ok who dose the eletric slide?

it is 4 steps right, 4 steps left, 4 steps back, 4 beats forward (various people do different things) and turn counter clockwise...

I didn't know there were people who couldn't do the electric slide, I thought that was a dance everyone could do.

That said...I object to the electric slide, ymca, macarana and any other 'group dance' so while I can, I choose not too.

I love the electric slide. I do it pretty well b/c I do it a certain way....instead of skipping to the side I take a step with my right foot (if we are going to the right) take my left foot and put it behind my right leg, then take my right leg and step to the right and end it by bringing my left foot togther with my right foot while you are suppsoed to clap and repeat by doing the same thing when you go to the left.(it times it right wit the music. It is the ONLY way I can do this dance correctly and it works everytime. I find that people follow me when we are doing it cause I never miss a beat. I could never get it right when I skipped to the side.

I like it and the bus-stop...its a tradiation at weddings and parties here in S. Florida, I have never been to a party that didnt play either one of those.

Haven't done that since HIgh School in 1990 and even then it was horrible. I could still do it if i had to, but i think they made a couple of versions of it. How about Achey Breaky Heart? I never learned to do that. I think of that dance every time i hear Billy Ray Cyrus on Hannah Montana. I didn't think he was anything great then, but i syure do now! He is a hottie!

Just get someone to teach you, teach you, teach you, (they'll) teach you the electric sliide.

I do! DH does too. And we're not the least bit embarrassed about it either. Our friends and family are mortified, but we can't help ourselves - we both love a good line dance.

I am Miss Uncoordinated of the Year, but I love the Cha cha version. Just pretend you had a few to many tequilas and shake that backside and get some shoulder action going while you step back and forth.

I'm shakin my groove thing to the Electric slide or any other line dance at any wedding I can. I love doing that! Silly and embarrassing dances are the reason I go to wedding receptions

I could since I was really young. They actually teach us line and square dances in school now. I never did understand why it was called the electrice slide though, since there is no actual sliding involved.
