Can I use material that has a little spandex in it?
- I haven't used any so I can't answer. I think a couple others may have used it but can't recall exactly who. (most people use 100% cotton or 50/50 cotton/poly blend.)
Best transfer paper?
- I love HP but others love Avery and other brands. Amy (MICKEY) now sells a product as well that she reports is the best. (It may be all with what you start with first and are most comfortable with but you could always buy a pack of each and see what you like if you're making a few shirts.)
Should I make shirts for every day?
It depends on your personal preference. I did one for the 5K marathon, one for DAK and one for DH's bday which we wore into Epcot. Depends on your time, your budget and how "coordinated" you want to be how often.
Do they wash up nice?
I've had no problems with 99% of my shirts. I've washed my favorite ones at least 7x since May w/no problems. (I iron them on the reverse side.) I did have a few crack in the commercial dryer at the laundromat when first doing them but then again I did more than 60 shirts so I'm not sure if it was operator trouble (i.e., I left the iron on the transfer too long), equipment failure (the dryer had a hot spot in it), material failure (the transfer was defective) or something else.
good luck and peruse through the link I provided as I think you'll find a lot of information there.
