OK to upgrade from hopper to AP?

We were planning on AP's for both DH and but have been reconsidering for him since he may not be back in the 1 year time frame - it's kind of going to depend on how our trip goes. So thought I'd buy a hopper ahead of time to get a discount and if he enjoys and wants to come back with me we'll upgrade. I realize the discount won't carry forward but just want to confirm there's no problem upgrading from an aRes ticket or similar.

It's no problem.

You just have to do it before the park closes on the final day of your PHs. Also I'd recommend doing the upgrade after using your MM benefit as it will be lost, but balance that against the discounts you will get. Also note that the person paying must be an APH to get the discounts.

BTW, the ticket booth closes 1 hour after the park closes. So you don't have to worry about missing all the great shows.
