Sorry if this is a stupid question. We're going with QS dining plan this time and Le Cellier is just too expensive for our budget, That being said, I love the maple creme brulee! I thought it would be a special treat to go there and have dessert.

Is it considered acceptable to make reservations to TS restuarants and just order dessert?

Thanks!

I asked about dessert only at Flying Fish Cafe and was told the best thing to do is eat it at the bar. Also, if I wanted it to-go I needed to order at the bar and box it up myself (no to-go orders). This was late/closing hours.

...and FFC is no where near as difficult an ADR to get as LC.

If you can get an ADR at Le Cellier, of course you can go and just order dessert. Keep in mind that it's becoming a signature for dinner and will have a recommended dress code. Lunch will still be regular dining.

I personally think there's a difference between allowable and acceptable and this wouldn't fall into my acceptable category. IF you can get the reservation, would they stop you? No. Am I in the minority with my opinion, probably. But I wouldn't enjoy it.

I don't see this any differently than making an ADR and only being able to eat dessert because we're still full from snacking around the world. We've done that before. It's not like the OP wants to linger over a table with a lagoon view and ordering dessert just to sit there. She wants the creme brûlée and if it makes her vacation I say go for it and enjoy!

Yes, if you can get a adr and only get dessert it is fine.

I have done this at other restaurants, including signature places.
It is a restaurant like any other, you can get what you want.
