My Grandfather swore up and down that he did not wear a 42, he wore a 38 but the new size 42 pants fit him. He argued that they were 'sized' wrong. Now that is the excuse we use when we have to buy a larger size. THey are justed sized wrong.

dang vanity sizing!
not my fault that a size 8 fits like a 6 now...so I have to buy the 10 so it fits like an 8!
hehehe

Yeah, I've been having a problem with my dryer, too. I hate it when it shrinks my pants! Deosn't do it to my DH's clothes, though. Odd, very odd...

Your dryer does this?

My closet does this - from season to season. Like when I pulled out my winter clothes, this past fall, the closet actually shrunk them all... and quite a bit, I might add.

Its very strange. :teeth:

By all means, go for the fat pants!

You'll feel and look better in clothes that fit. I'm wearing my fat pants right now and I wouldn't have it any other way. :thumbsup2

This is a good point. I feel my biggest when I'm wearing pants that are too tight. Even if I have to go up a size to make them fit a bit looser, I still *feel* smaller. And definitely more comfortable!

I went shopping in Marshalls today on my way home to get DH a B'Day gift...they were having GREAT clearance sales, so I bought him a bunch of things for his special day and then I bought myself a bunch of things because the prices were unbelievable. I had 3 pairs of jeans in my pile....one size up from my usual 5/6..I just can't take squeezing into them anymore they are so uncomfortable. I ate way too much over the holidays and gained weight. It will come off, but in the meantime get your pants and be Comfy!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

I'm wearing my brand spankin' new fat pants from Costco today. I'm SO comfy just letting it all hang out.

(seriously - Costco, Adidas lycra stretchy sweatpants that don't grab your butt like a dirty old man)

Go stinkerbelle! :woohoo:

You definitely need to wear the fat pants. You could burst a seam if you're too tightly squeezed into your old pants and that's embarassing!

Just wait til your twenty-something saddlebags get another 20 years on them! They are no longer bags- more like trunks! Fat pants are all that I have now that I'm in the fabulous 40's! I can gain weight on water and celery sticks. The perimenopausal years are very interesting! :furious: (mallcat with a hotflash!)
