ok i have been to disney many times and never stayed at one of there hotels , so this year we are after reading all the postings i think it sounds great. so i just have a question and wondering if someone can help me (i am a little slow at this lol) . ok i called and booked for oct 2-9 at pc for $850, i don't understand how the ap rates work, i have read everyone staying at better hotels for less with ap rates, how could those help me stay at lets say Cb? we will get 2 adult and one child 5 day park hopper passes if this helps , please someone help me , i want to save$$$$$$$thanks!

To get the AP (annual pass) rates at least one person in the party must have an annual pass. Depending on the cost of the AP and the savings it can bring for the hotel will help you determine if it is worth buying the AP. You don't have to have the AP purchased to make the reservation but you do have to present it at check in or you will have to pay the difference.

Annual Passes (APs) cost much more than regular tickets but can be worth it. Only one person in a booking is required to have one when the group checks in. Everyone else can have whatever tickets they want (just not packages which include UPHs).

You can get awesome rates with APs but there are only so many. Many people got great deals today. Some people got left out in the cold. The rooms they'd already booked are not available for the discount because others had already gotten the deals before them.
