OK so what do I get if I join before feb 1th?

Hi, We have been thinking of joining DVC and we might be able to in the next few months but don't want to miss out on this deal everyone is talking about. OK so what's the deal? I have a friend who is a member so if she refers me what do we both get. Thanks!

If I'm correct, you will receive 15% off the discounted price, bringing each point to $83.30 each. This is a fantastic deal, I am still considering this option even though we are planning on moving to FL in the next 6 months. Anywho, I believe if your friend refers you, she will receive some sort of benefit, as well as you receiving the great rate of $83.30 per point.

I'm sure others can be much more specific.

this was what i was told when i joined today.

1) you get 15% off the number of points you want to buy

2) I saved $2200 on 150 point purchase

3) the sales person helping you can't tell you about the deal until you ask them, saying you have a referral.

4) they only asked for the referrer's full name, and she double checked the state the person is from

5) there is a $200 WDWGC for the referrer but not all states will allow the referrer to obtain it. I'm from Ontario, I would not be able to get the GC because it's against the law to receive a gift for a referral. Your friend should check the law in their state.

I'm by no means an expert (actually, just a newbie) but that was my exp. today.

And my host is in on Sat. so, they are selling on Sat.

You get the 15% discount, and the person that refers you could possibly get a "bonus" for referring a new member. The first referral is $200, which I believe can be in the form of a disney gift card, or applied towards their membership dues. They will get some type of voucher for the referral bonus a few weeks after you officially close on the deal, which usually happens a month or so after you start the process.

I think NY is an eligible state, but I don't recall. There is a list on one of the threads, so you can probably search and find it. I just know that VA is not one of the eligible states.

The 1st referral is $200.
2nd $350.
3rd $500.
4th $750.
5th $1,000.

These $$ can only be taken as Disney Dollars, monies toward an add on, toward your mtc fee, and donated to a children's charity...not cash!

Remember the SSR incentive is good if you purchase by 2/1/06
