This sounds like the best idea to me. We would only buy APs certain years...and probably only at 25% off. Most of the time we would still buy PHPs so that we can use them when we like. We'd still buy them more often with the discount, though!

Just purchased our first AP's this weekend, but I don't see us purchaseing AP's in the future. Just works out that we were able to plan two trips within a 12 month period .

Our vacation time needs to be flexible, and that was one of the big appeals of DVC. I would like to see a discount applied to all ticket media, so we can purchase the best fit for our family during any particular visit(s).

While for the most part, we would buy the APs, I would like to see all passes discounted. As it is now, if I buy PHs I tend to go off-site for a day or two. But, there could be a trip down the road, that we would want to do other stuff and the PHPs would benefit us also.

I voted for PH. We haven't been able to go every year and I don't see that changing in the future. Getting to Florida from Washington isn't the easiest. Maybe if we lived closer....But for now, PHs would be best for us!

I also voted for the AP. But unless the discount is 25% or more, I don't see too many APs in our future. If they did the discount then we would probably squeeze in 2 to 3 trips to WDW. If the discount is lower, we will probably just do the PH and go to WDW once a year. That is what we have been doing.

Yes, Disney would definately make more money on us if they did offer the discounted APs.

And as Beth mentioned above, it is so nice not to to get flammed for this new topic-perks for DVC members.

I took the survey and voted for the Park Hopper Plus passes (park hoppers themselves were not an option in the survey). We do not travel to the parks more than 7 days a year (and even 7 would be rare for us), so any annual pass discounts would be wasted on us. The PH's do not expire, unlike any of the other options, so the PH's are the best pass for us.

I voted for AP as well. It suits our vacation style the best. However, unless the discount rivals the FL rate, our Disney spending plans will not change much.

I also agree that it's nice to have Disney "start" the thread about member perks. So many times you get flamed and get quotes like "we got our discount already just by owning DVC". I say we got what we paid for.

Hoping for that 25% AP discount.

I voted for PAP. For us a trip to WDW isn't complete without going to at least one of the water parks and spending an evening or two at PI. On our last trip we tried DQ and now we love that too, so going there may also become a regular part of our trips.

I voted for the AP as it's the best choice for us now. A 25% discount would be great!...I've hoped for 20% in the past. I think a discount should be available to other types of admission so that members have a choice. In the future, our pick will probably change...PAP?, etc.
Discounted admission has been a biggie with me; doesn't everyone have one or two things they feel strongly about? --I must say too, that it's nice to be able to discuss this topic, and see so many interested. I've dared to have a "Disney wish" about admission discounts for DVC members for quite some time. Past posts left me feeling (in some cases) in the minority & misunderstood. I wasn't interested in a freebieland & a lack of discount wouldn't make or break our vacation--it would be a nice "perk". Just MHO, I've always felt that this was something Disney/DVC could do.
I'm more hopeful now...Let's hope that it does happen!!

When I wrote the poll I figured everyone would want a 25% discount. Just out of curiosity (after reading other threads), would anyone want less that 25%, and why?

Also, I was glad to see that most people wanted the AP (like us!).

Hi all ...

Well, we just returned from OKW and just prior I received the postcard re: the "pass perk poll". Anyway, I took it and I'm not sure how much has been discussed (it's been a couple of weeks since I've been online) but it seems the discount they are considering on the APs is pretty terrific! Not that it's written in stone (yet) but the survey mentioned $100 off for DVC members. Other percentages were mentioned for the park hoppers (I think 15%) but what got me interested was the major cash discount on APs! Just thought I'd share ...
